Building Your Business with Photography

Hello lovlies! As usual, I'm slacking on the ol' blog posting. I knew that would happen, but I'm here now.

Since my last post, I've been super busy with some pretty fun stuff. I've branched out and have been working with some amazing, talented ladies helping them make their businesses look beautiful from every angle. I thought I would share them with you!

The first collaboration was with the super talented and beautiful Brianna Pisani from Pretty Little Vintage Company. If you aren't familiar with them, they are a small business with a huge warehouse full of incredible vintage couches, candle sticks, tables...you name it, they have it! They rent out these said items for weddings and events and they are amazing. If you haven't checked them out yet, you must do so!

We (and when I say we, I mean she) set up some gorgeous new items that she wanted to feature on her website and blog and we spent a sunny afternoon capturing each item perfectly. Bri really wanted her clients to have great images to look at when they visit her website and she appreciates the power of photography. It helps a client get the best view of something without having to be there in person. Maybe, I'm not explaining that in the best way...I'll let the images speak for themselves.

Bri has an incredible eye for detail and she made my part easy. She sets everything up and has a vision for every project she does. This is the second time I've collaborated with her, and it isn't going to be the last. As I said in my first post, I like to take pictures of pretty things and Bri has a lot of pretty things for me to take pictures of, so every project with her is exciting!

My latest project was with a new blogger, Michelle at Dreaming Home Blog. Michelle is an amazing interior decorator and like Bri, also has an eye for details. It was actually difficult for me to walk into her house because I am so not a good interior decorator. I know what I like, but I don't have the vision for it. Michelle is not like that. She has amazing vision and has completely redone her home....let me tell you...it's stunning. So many little details that really bring it all together and I'm super jealous.

So one day a few weeks ago, I went to visit her very clean, grown-up home and I got to see first hand just how talented Michelle is. She has put so much effort and time and love into her home and it shows right down to every detail. I honestly had a blast shooting the space because it literally looked like it came out of a Better Homes and Garden magazine. In her blog, she takes you through the process of her remodel and has great tips and ideas for her readers. Blogs are a great place for professional images, especially a blog like Michelles. It's loaded with pictures and many times, that is what the reader is drawn to. What better way to get your point across than with a great photo?

Here are some of the photos I took for her of her kitchen.

You guys.....see what I mean about her incredible eye for detail?! You must check out her blog and read about her DIY's, recipes and how she came up with the style for this kitchen.

Can you see how professional pictures can make a huge difference when showing off a space and/or little details? Pretty awesome, right?!

Well, thank you for reading and check out these two awesome ladies websites and blogs!

Love, Kimmy
